The City needs a customer-service oriented individual to safely drive a van or bus and coordinate transportation plans for patrons of the Public Transportation Program. In this position you will:
- Coordinate routing and pick-up of passengers, including children, elderly and/or disabled.
- Be responsible for safety of passengers getting on and off van or bus including operating wheelchair lift.
- Collect fares, handle cash, maintain passenger logs, and use radio or phone to communicate with dispatch.

About the Position Type
This Part-time position is scheduled 25 hours per week and includes part-time benefits, including dental and vision insurance, sick leave, vacation leave, and paid holidays.
Location and Hours
This position is located at the Public Works Facility at 1313 W. 1st Street and takes place as scheduled between 6:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday with some possible limited evening or weekend hours.
Need to Have
- Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent.
- Must be 21 or older.
- Preferred candidate will have both driving and basic clerical experience.
Special Requirements
Must possess a valid Nebraska state driver’s license and successfully pass background checks including driving, drug screening and criminal background check. Must be able to obtain CPR certification.
